Tea Bags

Yes, tea bags! The caffeine and antioxidants in tea are key to kissing your dark circles goodbye. It also reduces the look of blood vessels under the skin. Soak a green tea bag or a chamomile tea bag in water, then set it to chill. Once cooled, place over your eyes for at least 10 minutes. For best results, you can incorporate it into your weekly skin routine. 

Tomatoes

Tomayto, tomahto? Whichever you prefer will get the job done. Mix one teaspoon of tomato juice with a teaspoon of lemon juice and apply it under your eyes using a cotton ball. Tomato and lemon both have natural bleaching properties to aid the skin from dark spots. Tomato also contains lycopene, an antioxidant that reduces dark discoloration under the eyes. You can also smash the tomato into a paste or drink the juice. 

Raw Potato

This almost sounds too good to be true, right? Potato aids dark circles in a similar way that tomato does, but if you have sensitive skin that can't handle the acidity in tomato you may want to use a potato. You can grate it for its juice and apply to your circles or you can slice it up and place it over your eyes. One of the causes of dark circles is lack of elasticity in the skin. The vitamin A in potatoes is what keeps skin firm.

Almond Oil

Almond oil is perfect for the sensitive and fleshy skin under your eyes. Massage it in every night before going to bed and rinse off in the morning. As a substitute, you can also use vitamin E oil. 

Cucumber

We hate to be cliché, but the proof is in the pudding. Cucumbers have skin-lightening and mild astringent properties that help cure dark circles. Cut a cold and fresh cucumber into thick slices and place on your eyes for about 30 minutes. Repeating this just twice a day can lead to results, plus it gives you time to relax and unwind.
